Dawson Infrastructure Solutions offers a wide assortment of root cutters and saws. Sizes are designed for pipes ranging from 4” to 20”. Along with a wide selection of flat, concave and tapered saw blades, we also offer several different root and grease cutters. The Smart Cutter system combines high-torque with a design that needs less maintenance than your standard cutter, removing roots during use and headaches afterward. The Patriot root and grease cutters offer two root-cutting systems in one, combining the advantages of both ring-type cutters and skid type cutters in one package.
Smart Cutter Root & Grease Cutter
The Smart Cutter system is truly the gold standard of the sewer cleaning industry. It is the industry's ONLY low maintenance, high-torque root cutter. The Smart Cutter gives you the power of a high torque root cutter with the low level of maintenance of a chain cutter. Simply shake out the water, spray in some light weight oil, turn a couple of times, and throw it in your tool box for the next time roots become a problem. Patriot 2 Root & Grease Cutter
The Patriot 2 Root and Grease Cutter Assembly is capable of developing pressure and torque to remove the most difficult stoppages from pipes 4" to 20" in diameter. This patent pending unique design has skids to stabilize the root cutter up the pipe with minimal friction. Less water is used, more roots are cut, and fewer trips are made to the fire hydrant which means more productive sewer cleaning.
The Patriot 2 Root Cutter combines the advantages of both the standard Ring type and Skid type root cutter assemblies. The individual skids are adjustable which eliminates the need to change skids for each size pipe.

Patriot 1 Root & Grease Cutter
The Patriot 1 Root and Grease Cutter Assembly is capable of developing pressure and torque to remove the most difficult stoppages from pipes 4" to 20" in diameter. This patent pending unique design combines both rollers and skids to stabilize and roll the root cutter up the pipe with minimal friction. Less water is used, more roots are cut, and fewer trips are made to the fire hydrant which means more productive sewer cleaning.
The rollers will guide the skid assembly over offsets and misaligned pipe, thus avoiding the possibility of getting hung up in the sewer line. The individual skids are adjustable which eliminates the need to change skids for each size pipe. The size of the Patriot 1 cutter is 3-3/4" in diameter, 10-1/2" in length when assembled and weighs 13 lbs.

Ring Style Root & Grease Cutter
The Ring Style Root & Grease Cutter is designed to clean sewer lines from 6" to 20" in diameter. The ring assembly protects the motor and jet thruster. The saw is able to make contact with the pipe and actually pulls the Root and Grease Cutter down the pipe, making short work of root and grease removal.
Motor & Thruster assembly with the skid ring only and is 4-1/8" diameter 10-1/2" long 16 lbs.

Mini Root & Grease Cutter
The Mini Root and Grease Cutter is designed to clean pipe lines 3" diameter and larger. 50% lighter in weight and half the size of regular root cutters. Easier to use, travels farther, manages curves and transitions better and is very user friendly . 2-3/8" diameter, 9-1/2" long and only 5-1/2 lbs. Motor & Thruster assembly only. Tapered Root Saw
The tapered design of this saw allows the operator to take small bites at a time as he moves through a root or grease clogged line. The tapered design allows the user to ride over offsets much easier than the flat saw which has a tendency to grab quicker. All saws are made of hardened 1040 spring steel. Concave Root Saw
The Concave Root Saw design saw keeps the teeth off the side of the pipe offsets, providing longer saw life and less wear on sewer walls. The saw blades are hardened to a 50-55 Rockwell hardness. The Flat Root saw will do a great job when used in conjunction with various size root cutters. Hardened to 50-55 Rockwell, our Flat Root Saw will provide excellent service for normal root cutting. All saws are adaptable for use with most root cutter systems. The saws can also be used with continuous rod or sectional rod. The Super 90 Concave Saw is considered the toughest root saw blade in the industry. It is designed to keep the teeth off the sides of pipe offsets providing longer saw life. It is 2" wide and is thicker than any saw on the market. The Super 90s are heat treated to 50-55 Rockwell hardness. Then they are protected with a corrosion resistant treatment to prolong the blade life. It is a brute. If there are tough sewers to clean, put this saw to work! Diamond Tap Cutter
The Diamond Tap Cutter system is ideal for cutting and removing concrete, clay, tilt, cast iron, PVC and polyethylene taps that impair normal sewage flow. The Diamond Tap Cutter is a must for any television inspection work. May be used with root cutter systems. Comes in large and mini hub configurations to fit your root cutter motor shaft. The tap cutter kits include the motor and thruster assembly, the appropriate skids for the specific tap cutter drum, water soluble oil, tools and toolbox carrying case.
